Groundwork Press was formed in June of 2003 to respond to the needs of thousands of parents struggling to understand and assist their children with special needs. Our commitment is to publish high-quality, timely, informative and highly relevant materials on parenting, special needs, adoption and other family-related issues.
In the early 1990s, SNAP developed a book designed for parents, caregivers and professionals working with children affected by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). Now published by Groundwork Press and into its third printing, Living with FASD: A Guide for Parents has sold close to 50,000 copies!
Virtually everyone is, or knows of someone who cares for a child with special needs, who has been touched by adoption or who struggles with parenting or other family issues.
Groundwork Press originated from a long history and commitment to parent support and information services and it is from Canadian families facing their challenges and telling us what resources they want and need that we draw our inspiration.
We have a remarkable line-up of six new titles and will be adding more to our catalogue in the future.
Groundwork Press helps families meet life’s challenges…one book at a time.
